The guide smiles,<br \/>\npoints to the missing triangle. This theft<br \/>\ntoo, he says, is hundreds of years<br \/>\nold. This theft too is part of history.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nick-lantz.com\/\">Nick Lantz<\/a>&#8216;s debut collection of poems, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powells.com\/partner\/29017\/biblio\/1555975526\"><i>We Don&#8217;t Know We Don&#8217;t Know<\/i><\/a>, won the Bread Loaf Writers&#8217; Conference Bakeless Prize; the University of Wisconsin Press will be publishing a second collection, <i>The Lightning That Strikes the Nieghbors&#8217; House<\/i>, in April. You may recognize the title of this first book as the tail end of a famous statement by then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld about known knowns and unknown unknowns; the collection also includes poems like &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gulfcoastmag.org\/index.php?n=2&#038;s=943\">Of the Parrat and other birds that can speake<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lantz was also a finalist for <a href=\"http:\/\/waywiser-press.com\/nicklantz.html\">the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize<\/a>.
