So on they go<\/p>\n<p>their paths littered with torn<br \/>\nand discarded friendships,<br \/>\nlike bones outside the den<br \/>\nof a fairy tale giant.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Collectors&#8221; is one of the previously uncollected poems in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powells.com\/partner\/29017\/biblio\/0307594106\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Hunger Moon<\/i><\/a>, a selected retrospective of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.margepiercy.com\" target=\"_blank\">Marge Piercy<\/a>&#8216;s poems from 1980 to 2010. Other new Piercy poems in the collection include &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.margepiercy.com\/sampling\/The_Low_Road.htm\" target=\"_blank\">The low road<\/a>,&#8221; &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelfire.com\/zine\/bluefifth\/Fall2009\/poems1F09.html\" target=\"_blank\">The curse of Wonder Woman<\/a>&#8221; (published in <i>Blue Fifth<\/i>), &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.margepiercy.com\/sampling\/Football_for_Dummies.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Football for dummies<\/a>,&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/rattle.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/end-of-days-by-marge-piercy\/\">End of days<\/a>&#8221; (published in <i>Rattle<\/i>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some people collect grudges like stamps or rare coins.
