James Miller is the author of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powells.com\/partner\/29017\/biblio\/0374150850\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Examined Lives: From Socrates to Nietzsche<\/i><\/a>, which collects a dozen mini-biographies showing how great philosophers have struggled to reconcile their notions about the right way to live with their life circumstances. After a brief interview, he&#8217;ll be interviewed by Andrew Shaffer, a blogger for the <i>Huffington Post<\/i> and the author of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powells.com\/partner\/29017\/biblio\/0061969818\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Great Philosophers Who Failed at Love<\/i><\/a>, which has three times as many historical examples upon which to draw. And then we&#8217;ll have time for your questions&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Greenlight Bookstore is located at 686 Fulton Street, very close to the C and G subway stops and within walking distance of all the trains that stop at Atlantic and Pacific Avenues. This (free!) event will start at 7:30 p.m., and should last about an hour or so.
