These days, she&#8217;s dropping in regularly at Michelle Richmond&#8217;s place; <a href=\"http:\/\/writersattic.blogspot.com\/2005\/08\/lauren-baratz-logsted-on-books-that.html\">this time around<\/A>, she&#8217;s looking at the books she&#8217;s liked recently, including Kermit Roosevelt&#8217;s <A href=\"http:\/\/www.powells.com\/partner\/29017\/biblio\/0374261873\"><I>In the Shadow of the Law<\/I><\/A>, a book that&#8217;s been in a pile right next to my bookcase ever since <A href=\"http:\/\/query.nytimes.com\/gst\/fullpage.html?res=9500E4D71638F931A25755C0A9639C8B63\">Alan Dershowitz<\/A> loved the book, but got a bug up his butt about its use of &#8220;SAT words&#8221;&#8211;then went on to suggest he was indirectly responsible for some of Roosevelt&#8217;s best bits.
