Editor Bret Lott reminds you that in the eyes of the law these two actions&#8211;your donation, his sending you a magazine&#8211;are mutually exclusive, and &#8220;not a single penny will come even close to the coffers of the <I>Southern Review<\/I>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><LI>The <A href=\"http:\/\/www.cbcbooks.org\/news\/relief_efforts.html\">Children&#8217;s Book Council<\/A> is keeping track of relief efforts from several organizations, including some of its member publishers.<\/p>\n<p><LI>I mentioned it on Galleycat already, but it&#8217;s worth repeating: <A href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/galleycat\/authors\/if_only_katrinas_happy_ending_came_this_easy_25899.asp\">tonight&#8217;s Happy Ending<\/A> is a fundraiser for a charity to be determined by the audience members.
