Why We Hate Booksblogging.com
by Ron HoganIf you've been reading this site for a while, you might remember the trouble I had last year with some website stealing my feed. Well, somebody pointed out Books Blogging to me this morning, which is not only stealing the Beatrice feed but using it to prop up their own Google Ads revenue stream. In other words, not just passing off my intellectual property (and that of my colleagues) as their own, but trying to make a buck off it, as well.
I'd email them and tell them they should stop doing this, but they've created what is really just a shell of a website, and done it through a proxy domain registrar, so there's no clear way to contact them about it. So I'll have to settle for the possibility that anybody who actually reads that site will see this message and discover that they'll find the original postings—presented in a much more atttractive format, I might add—at beatrice.com, so they should stop reading a website run by a bunch of parasites.
