Number One Hit Song has turned its angry eye onto the publishing scene this week. Yesterday, a guest writer shared "eight reasons why chick lit authors should be kicked until they're dead." I can't get behind that, and neither can Jennifer Weiner and Stephanie Lessing, but then they're the ones who need to watch out for marauding feet. Anyway, I'm much more in tune with today's message from star bookblogger Maud Newton, who starts a spirited discussion on why indie bookstores in Williamsburg suck.
