Easing Back into the Saddle...
by Ron HoganWell, I'm back from Bethesda, and I'll tell you all about it later today, once I've gotten some book reviews written, but for now, I'll just mention that I finally caught last week's Law and Order on the "TiVo digital video recorder," as their IP lawyers like us to call it, and wasn't that "oh, no, this isn't based on the Bernie Kerik-Judith Regan thing, with a bit of Jenna Jameson thrown in for fun, not at all" plotline a hoot? My favorite bit was when the abrasive publisher (played by Broadway's Randy Graff) informed the cops that she was furious because her porn star author had taken her next book, a "how-to sex manual," to Knopf. But I find it even more hilarious that, as Rush & Malloy have it, "some wags are wondering if the untimely demise of Graff's character may be a message to Regan to keep quiet about her notorious affair with Kerik." Right: because Dick Wolf really gives a shit about that sort of thing. Let's try it's a show where murders get solved every week.
