James Urbaniak Is Probably Disqualified

You may remember I went to see Robert Crumb last week but had to leave early to make my next literary event. Turns out Randy Kennedy (NYT) saw the whole thing. It's probably the only chance you'll ever get to read about "fellatio, beheaded nuns, near-severed penises and throwing up while on LSD" in the New York Times. And Heidi MacDonald was there, too, covering things from the comics news angle, which is probably about as close as I'm ever going to get to meeting her, dammit.

Meanwhile, the official website for The R. Crumb Handbook is running a contest in which the entrant who can get himself (or herself, I suppose) to most closely resemble Crumb in a photograph will win a date with Aline Kominsky-Crumb. If this doesn't create a run on fedoras, then nothing will.
