I've got a copy of The Poetry Home Repair Manual I've been meaning to read for a while now, but in the meantime it's encouraging to see Poet Laureate Ted Kooser going out there and doing what he can to bring poetry to the people. His latest tactic: getting local newspapers to print poems by living Americans with his introductory remarks. One wonders whether Garrison Keillor and the Poetry Foundation will stand for this incursion onto their turf!
