With an AUUGGH!, It Would Be Perfect
by Ron HoganBoingBoing points to a cool "micro graphic novel" site that presents four images scanned from off the side of a chainsaw box, inviting people to create stories to go with the pictures. Granted, the only author I actually recognize on the list of contributors so far is Cory Doctorow (who's shown up here many a time, at least in name), but maybe some of you big-shot writers who read this blog can go join in the fun and turn this thing into a huge literary phenomenon. In the meantime, I love the opening to "Tree Footies":
Stupid football.
Stupid Lucy with a football.
Why didn't she hold still?
Stupid Kite eating tree.
Johannes Grenzfurthner, the fellow who found the pictures, has made that invitation wide open, so if those images inspire a story in you, get out there and tell it (and then tell me)! I'm either going to mull over mine all day or write the first thing that pops into my head tonight...
