Literary Establishment Validates My Opinions

I have my own reasons for finding David Orr to be an exemplary critic, but now the National Book Critics Circle tells me I'm right. Last Saturday, Orr received the Nona Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing because he "has demonstrated high critical standards in his or her work." And considering the skills of the other finalists--Stacey D’Erasmo, Claire Dederer, Andrew O’Hagan, Thomas Powers and Stacy Schiff--that's saying something!
