The Sorrows of Young Werther Increased by 62,000

A little over two months ago, a fire at the Anna Amalia Library in Weimar--which Goethe used to manage at one point in his literary career--damaged 62,000 books to varying degrees. Andreas Tzortzis reports for NYT on the effort to save the remains. No juicy pullquote, just an interesting story.
