Yiddish Also Best Expresses Our Post-Election Thoughts
by Ron HoganWe were all a little distracted yesterday, so you'll forgive me for not having noticed the NYT story on Caraid O'Brien, who's lecturing on Yiddish drama at the 92nd Street Y. She's already translated several Yiddish-language plays by Sholem Asch for the off-off-off-Broadway stage, and she's working on more. The lecture Emily Eakin visited only had half a dozen attendees; we're betting next Wednesday's will be pretty packed.
