introducing readers to writers since 1995

Hey, Nineteen!
by Ron HoganThe inaugural volume of The Complete Peanuts, covering 1950 to 1952, is about to debut on the NYT fiction bestseller list at #19. But we know it can do better than that, right? I mean, heck, one of the novels above it is called Good Grief. Getting past that should be a shoo-in for my man Charlie Brown--who, it turns out, is the fastest seller in the history of Fantagraphics Books (and likely to give Ghost World a run for its money by the end of 2004).
(Yeah, I know you know I know about Good Grief. And I'm just about to actually read it, honest.)
Anybody else notice this was printed in China? I wonder what sort of a price break you can get by having books shipped back and forth across the ocean.
This particular collection is especially interesting as the beginning srips are SO different from those most of us under the age of fifty remember from our childhood and adulthood.

by Rheta Grimsley Johnson. Excellent detailed biography of the great man himself.
Did my part; my copy arrived in the mail yesterday. Beautiful, too.
