Horror Authors Rally Around Charles L. Grant

by Ron Hogan

The Horror Writers of America sent me a note about Charles L. Grant, who was recently diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. To help cover his medical expenses, including a steady supply of bottled oxygen, HWA writers like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Neil Gaiman, Peter Straub, and Clive Barker, along with fifty of their colleagues as well as publishers such as Leisure Books, Earthling Publications and Night Shade Books, are donating items for a two-part charity auction to coincide with the annual Bram Stoker Awards Banquet weekend, June 4-6. In addition to the silent auction that will take place then, many of the items can be found on eBay beginning May 23; look for the seller bookwyrm55.

You can also make a direct donation to Grant and his wife.
