Moronic Homophobe's Vandalism Jujitsu'd Into Art

Slate presents a slideshow highlighting an exhibit at the San Francisco Public Library, where artists took hundreds of books about gay and lesbian issues that had been mutilated with razor blades and turned them into art. And it totally doesn't surprise me that the man responsible for wrecking the books is either an idiot or has a broad set of issues in addition to homophobia:

Though the vandal had clearly relied on the library catalog to seek out books on gay issues, he evidently did not understand the search results: Among the books destroyed were works by author Gay Talese and those concerning the Enola Gay, the famous World War II warplane, as well as romance novels and books on women's health.
