Meta, We Get Meta...
by Ron HoganRobert Pinsky kicks off National Poetry Month for Slate with a translation of Su Tung-p'o's "Reading the Poetry of Meng Chao," which apparently sucked: "Why should I strain my ears / listening to the squeak of this autumn insect?"
Pinsky's also involved with the Favorite Poem Project, where people share verse they like a lot better than that.
