Interstitial Arts Foundation
by Ron HoganBruce Sterling's blog pointed me towards the Interstitial Arts Foundation, a group of writers and artists who stake out "the interstices between genres and categories... the borderlands between different disciplines, mediums, and cultures." Like how the critics say Jonathan Lethem isn't writing science fiction any more, even if the protagonist of his latest novel does have a Green Lantern power ring (or a reasonable facsimile thereof). Here's a critical essay that might double as a manifesto. I also note the participation of Kelly Link, who runs the excellent Small Beer Press with her husband, Gavin Grant.
