"If you can talk about it, it ain't Tao."

by Ron Hogan

A long, long time ago, I wrote out the first twenty chapters of a modern version of Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, influenced by heavy doses of Quentin Tarantino and David Mamet, and put the results online. Ever since then, people have been asking me when I'm going to finish the damn thing.

I actually finished it over a year ago, and was trying to figure out how to go about finding a publisher for it, but after poking around Creative Commons, I decided what the heck, why not just release it with a couple provisions attached?

So click on the ideogram down on the right-hand side of the page, where you'll be given free access to TXT and PRC formats of the complete text, plus a brief introduction. Feel free to comment, and if you're a publisher and you'd like to stick it on Eastern Philosophy shelves in bookstores across America, let me know.
